About Rilana
I am Rilana Vorderwülbecke. After studying art in Boston and London, I worked as an artist and art dealer in my own business in Berlin.
In 2008, I founded the Kunstraum, an art school for children that promotes creative development and free thinking.
Over time, my focus shifted to therapeutic work and coaching with individuals, teams and families. Today, I support people in gaining new perspectives, releasing inner blockages and facing challenges with awareness and strength.
My services can be booked in German and English.
My Philosophy
“Wir sind jederzeit ein Gegenüber eines Menschen und entscheiden in jedem Moment der Begegnung, ob wir uns entwicklungsfördernd oder entwicklungshindernd verhalten.”
- Jacobi und Gindler
At the center of my work is the living, present encounter with oneself, with the horses, with art and with the world. I understand development as a creative process of resonance, in which we touch our innermost self through presence, relationship and expression and allow the inner space to become larger and visible.
In my method Resonance in Equine Arts Presencing (REAP) combines the wisdom of horses with the expressive power of the expressive arts in a trauma-sensitive coaching context. This combination creates spaces in which self-awareness, regulation and co-creation become possible. Spaces that are supported by trust, mindfulness and an attitude of not-knowing. The philosophies of Equine Guided Education (EGE) and Expressive Arts Education (EXA) form the basis of this work. Both embody a relationship building with trust in the beauty that unfolds in the phenomenological encounter with nature, art, horses and other people. The REAP method emphasizes the importance of people being able to actively shape their own growth and learning, embedded in an atmosphere of relationship and trust.
In the living presence of art, horses and nature, something begins to resonate within us. Their resonance leads us into the depths of self-knowledge and at the same time expands our awareness of the people with whom we share this world.
“I never made one of my discoveries through the process of rational thinking.”
–Albert Einstein
